About Me

Hi, I'm Mia - an NCTJ-trained journalist with a BA (Hons) in Multimedia Journalism. I have been a freelance journalist for over three years, across publications such as LADbible, UNILAD, Tyla, Reader's Digest, Mancunian Matters, and more.

I have extensive knowledge of how best to optimise articles for SEO,  and can produce copy at pace, but most of all accurately, meeting tight publication schedules.  I am skilled in finding both trending and evergreen stories, and am constantly up-to-date with social trends and viral news.

As well as writing, I have produced, presented, and edited two documentaries, the most recent being Silent Struggles: Exploring the gender health gap.  I also worked as a researcher on Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over USA, season two.  I am experienced in interviewing contributors, as well as completing legal background checks and editing taster tapes for commissioners.

As a podcast producer and host for Media & Mi, I also created engaging clips for social media, driving listeners to the podcast.
